Listen to the Seniors!

Sometimes it helps to be reminded of how things were. Five years ago, New
Brunswick residents who entered nursing homes were treated very unfairly.
Daily rates were different all over the province and ranged as high as $180
per day. Couples were required to use their joint incomes and assets to
cover these costs. It was different in our province from most other parts
of Canada. The policies at that time caused great hardship for many New
Brunswickers.
As more residents realized how unfair this w… Continue

The Wooden Bowl

This has made the rounds on the internet, but if you haven't read it, I think you will enjoy it.

The Wooden Bowl
A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and four-year-old grandson.
The old man's hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered
The family ate together at the table. But the elderly grandfather's shaky hands and
failing sight made eating difficult.. Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor.
When he grasped the glass, milk spilled on the tableclot… Continue

Hi Wayne

Why not - let me look and see what others do and I will do the same - likely only to respond in a positive way :-)

Have a good day :-)

Hi, thanks, I thought I was just 'signing in' for the radio programs. Then they added the photo from Facebook, which I do not use any more, which is pretty amazing. and ask for a few more things about me, and I have an identity and a 'voice' and now some friends. So that is pretty quick work, So it seems good to me! So hello eveyone on Zooner's. I think the scanner is a 'make money project'. I think added radiation that will be needed for some obscure nut who was let on a plane without even a passport? is pretty flimsy excuse. I would like a boycott of the use of this. If no one used it, it wouldn't stand up. But it looks like eveyone is going to 'go along' Well, just 'one more thing'. Amazing. I just watched the news item on this, hence the reaction. What about a Zooner's reaction to this? Pass it along. Maybe we can be useful. We Maritimer's are an independent lot. With gumption. thanks

Have a great year.
