Just finished Through Black Spruce by Joseph Boyden. Quite a good read. It was the 2008 Giller I believe. I just read a couple of reviews that refer to Three Day Road by him which sets up the characters, but is not 'book 1'. Worth a read by an excel…

It is a book about family, loyalty, and love as well. I don't think you will be disappointed with it Linny..
I know this much is true is one of my favourite reads. Excellent book. The Hour I first Believed was good too but not as good. Skin of the Lion is another fav of mine. Cdn author.
Patricia, I read her Eat, Pray Love and just wished she would get on with it..lol...basically I was intolerant and did not enjoy it. It is wonderful how everyone gets a different take on books...love it!
Half Broke Horses you will enjoy if you have read her book Glass Castle. My favourite is Glass Castle, but both are wonderful.
