- New Brunswick's first CARP Chapter will be holding its inaugural gala this Sunday, October 18, from 2 till 6 pm at the Delta Hotel, Woodstock Road. CARP, A New Vision of Aging for Canada, is a strong national voice for Canadians. At the gala, you will hear speakers from CARP's national office, and local speakers on advocacy issues. There will be kiosks showcasing services for members and musical entertainment by the Celtic musical group Oran. Coffee and finger food will be available. Most important you will be showing support for a new voice in New Brunswick for seniors. Tickets are $10 and available at North side VON office in Brookside Mall or CJRI radio, 151 Main St., Fredericton North. You can also call one of the board members: Jerry Arsenault (457-2252), Dianne Tomlinson (454-1410), Winston Chase (461-5575), Joanne Johnson (450-9169), or Steve Goudey (458-2714). There are only 200 tickets available, so get yours today. The event is for CARP members, but if you aren't a member yet, just go to www.carp.ca and join.

Maureen said… - I checked out the site and I remember that I had talked to someone about this group as I had seen it advertised in the paper. I was very timid and lost at the time and never went. I was staying in a rented cabin while I waited for my house to be built; didn't know my way around and was lost in more than one way at that time. I have a very busy life these days but would still like to check this place out. I now know what you look like and wonder if you go to the hotel on Friday's between 6 - 8???

Thanks for your comments on my photos. I do photography as a hobby. I also work (as needed) on a small private yacht in the summertime which gives me great photo opportunities.
