About Me
I'm a Zoomer with a new creative outlet as a VoiceOver Artist for Radio & TV...taking acting and Voice classes in Toronto and setting up my home recording studio. Since we are so removed from people in this day and age, I'm glad to see a site that is trying to bring us out of our homes and to meet face to face.

VoiceOver Hurdles

As a Voice Over Artist, I have been setting up my own "in house recording studio." What a learning curve!

I knew I needed to have a preamp connected between my computer and my mike. But, after completing my VO training with Mike Kirby of www.voiceworx.com who was the Station Voice of HGTV Canada, he gave me his 'old' preamp.

WHAT THE HECK IS a PREAMP I kept asking myself??? Thanks for the gift...what to do?

So, I set it up, but with the Vista program on my computer, it wouldn't 'talk to' my m… Continue

Busy Day

A busy, but very rewarding day in the Burn ICU in Toronto today. I work in many Critical Care Units thruout the GTA. Just made my lunches for the next 2 days work, then off Monday. Hoping to swim and kayak then.
Be safe to all who are travelling this long W/E and have fun, friends...Donna

Grans

Added a pix of my "Little Grans" Emily & Faith, now, nearly 7 and 4.
I put this photo into the Yahoo photo time capsule before it closed, to open again in 2020.
Love, Nanny.

Being featured...

Can anyone tell me what it means to be featured and to have my photo featured?

Sunset

I don't know how or where my sunset and I were featured, as I am new to this site.
But info on the sunset: I took it from my balcony the end of last summer. Glad someone else appreciates it, too;) Enjoy, friend. Donna

Hi Donna,
Thanks for noticing my profile. Yes, covered bridges are rare nowadays. The picture I posted of the red covered bridge is located in West Montrose, Ontario, Canada. It is commonly know to locals as the "kissing bridge". I usually visit it when I travel from Toronto to Kitchener-Waterloo area to visit family. One of my favorite places to stop off for R & R.
Take care,
Donna

Hi Donna:

Thank you...I am all well...and have been having probiotic yogourt pretty much daily since the C. Difficile diagnosis. I feel wonderful...but am extremely apprehensive about taking any further antibiotics. I am not sure that my family doctor has gotten the message. Take care..and all the best to you! Kathryn
