No place for your knees to grab.
You get used to it, you just sort of squeeze the "hump" where the engine is with your feet, use the push steering technique, and lean into it.
Keeping an eye out for loose gravel, sand, diesel oil spills, road kill etc., of course.
Hate wearing polarized sunglasses on the bike.
They take the shine out of oil slicks, makes them hard to spot.
But I don't even think about the tank not being there to squeeze now.
Been riding the Burg for 5 years.

Is there someplace for your knees to grab?
Loose sand is my nightmare too.

Hi Rob.
No, the front wheel is 15", (same size as most Harleys)
The rear wheel is 14"
Rock solid on the highways, corners like a sportsbike, handles road ruts pretty well, goes like stink.
0-100 in just under 6 seconds, tops out about 180.
A bit scary on loose gravel but has never me dumped yet, but it's great on paved roads.
Sand, forget it, got stuck a few times on Wasaga Beach.

Hey Richard, Do you find the small front wheel a bit iffy?
My old Silverwing is now a scooter model too.

I don't have a bike right now, a friend is twisting my arm really hard to buy one. I sold my Goldwing back in '88. Have not ridden since..I do however still have my first bike, a 1968 Yamaha Twin 125 Street Scrambler. :O)

My first bikes were British bikes 650's about 45 years ago. Now riding a 650 twin in the form of a scooter, the Suzuki Burgman.
Bought it new in May 2005, have about 36,000 Km on it now.
Very comfortable and quick ride.

Hi everyone;
I got my learners and have done a little riding, but the first time I rode my new bike I crashed and now I am limping around, could be laid up for a month. Not happy about that. At least there wasn't much damage to the bike.
