Hi, I haven't been on the Zoomers site for quite awhile. But decided to open this comment and came across a Christian Group not sure if I'm in that group or not. This winter I spent ten days in Caza Grande,Arizona, I noticed tonight that Dan Helgren is from Casa Grande,Arizona, read about his health concerns and wanted to message him to tell him that I would pray for him but He has to accept me as a friend first. I thought maybe he would get the message this way. Linda Carter in Sudbury,Ontario,Canada.

Haven't heard from Dan Helgren for awhile. Hope he's doing okay.

As a songwriter, specializing in Southern Gospel, I naturally have my favorite authors. They are Misty Freeman, Mark Bishop, and Carroll Roberson.

Don Allan, here is a good definition of boomer vs zoomer:
"Are you a BOOMER? You are if your birthday falls between 1946 and 1964. That birth period defines you as one America's the Post-World-War-II Baby Boomers. However, birth dates alone don't tell you much about how a person thinks or acts. Not all Boomers think and act the same. Some Boomers are breaking new ground, re-defining aging and re-inventing retirement. That's why I coined the term ZOOMER to identify this trend-setting group of Boomers.

"Are you a ZOOMER? The answer is "yes", if you measure up to the operational definition I created for ZOOMER.
A ZOOMER is someone who:
knows the difference between primary (inevitable) and secondary (reversible) aging
monitors inherited health risks and practices preventive health care
performs daily exercise (aerobics for endurance, anaerobics for strength, and neurobics for brain power)
calculates daily nutritional and caloric needs based on age, gender, and weight
orchestrates a social support system of companions, close friends, and a confidante
enjoys a positive self-concept, and a passion for living life to the fullest
achieves the resources necessary to live an adventurous life thanks to sound retirement planning"

I want all of you my fellow zoomers to be praying for me. I have a sore/bruise on my leg that has been there for some time and it has peeled sometimes and scabbed sometimes along with bleeding at times but Thursday I noticed that my pant leg was wet and investigated to find that my sore was running clear water. Now to catch you up to speed on my condition, I had melanoma surgery along with removal of lymph nodes in my right leg 3 years ago and my right leg has swollen at times and if I got my rest it was fine and the sore on my leg has been off white and brown at times but nothing significant until about 4 days ago when it started pouring clear fluid and as long as I am on it for a significant time, like 2-3 hours, it will soak a gauze pad triple layered on it. When you remove the bandage it is soaked and bubbling up on the sore. I can't get it to scab up because of the constant running of fluid. I am going to call the doctor tomorrow and I have gone to my primary doctor and he thinks that it is an infection and says to take antibiotics and prop it as much as possible but that is not working, so I am going to call my dermatologist tomorrow. Any nurses out there have any Ideas until I can get into the doctor?

It is interesting to learn a bit about a new term, zoomer. Please tell me more. I am trying to get a better perspective on its definition.

FORGIVENESS THAT HEALS: Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you. When we see so many family members holding lifelong grudges against others in their familes that it grows into a viscious hatred we must remember to pray for them daily. If they could only get the message that they are hurting themselves more than anyone or perhaps thats what they are really doing it for. Thought for the day.

Bonnie: I so enjoy your photographs. You have done a marvelous job of capturing Victoria and sharing it with others and especially adding the word. Wonderful. Thank you and God Bless you.

HI Bonnie

You must of read your "Our Daily Bread" as that was part of the thought for today. How thankful we can be for these authors that create such stories or actually that they have happened. I believe that they do happen as we live in a world where "its all about me" which is a shame.

Have a good day and thank God for all his blessings.

Linda
