Welcome Nicholas from Olean. This is Cindy Bear in Cheektowaga. Just a few miles (35-45) away. 740 is the station (Canadian) station to listen to. the on air personalities you mentioned are my all-time favourites. Whenever I get the chance, always plugging the station. Mum has an antique radio from when she was a teen (86). Love to see if the old transistor still works.

AM 740 is sounding great here in Olean N.Y. (That's Oh-lee-ann). Thanks Brian Peroff for those great Friday night tunes! Sounds terrific on the old Zenith Trans-oceanic radio. I also enjoy Frank Proctor, Bill Gable, Eva D, and George on Sunday nights. Keep the fine programming coming!

Just returned home from the Winter Dance Party.
It was even better than as advertised on 740. It was amazing to see so many Zoomers out dancing in the aisles (including me). It was great to relive the old times

I'm a 23 *Rock & Roll* Musician from Wasaga Beach Ontario and I'm a BIG Fan of AM740! Friday Night Band Stand, Mr.Goldhawk, as well as most of the rest of your programming (with exception to the old folk commercials hahaha, a world of terror awaits me...)!

I have to put in my 2 cents worth too! 740 is my nostalgia station, not theme 'Scottish', although I do enjoy 'Goldhawk fights back'. Here's to 2010 "CHEERS"

Been catching up on 740 'fan mail' and am in total agreement with Carole Mallows. Don't change the format much more. the only thing I like about the time slot of 11am to 1pm, is when Frankie Proctor takes over for Goldhawk. Not a big fan of talk radio, only if it's worth listening to. Been a avid fan of the station for 5 years now and you're getting away from the kind of music that drew me to you in the 1st place, 40s-60s. Don't hear much of Dino or Frank much anymore. Please say that you won't change anymore.

I happen to love the Scottish music every Sunday afternoon, it doesn't give me road rage, completely the opposite, I find it very soothing.

I found AM 740 back in early 2000 and haven't changed my dial since. Somehow though when driving on Sunday and on comes the Scottish Highland Music I cannot drive without road rage listening to that for any length of time and that is when I must turn off the radio. Anyone else get that feeling with Highland Playing for hours? I also did not mind the changes that have taken place, variety is the spice of life, No?

I am in total agreement with you re CTV taking over CHUM - there's nothing more boring than TALK RADIO and I also listen to CKOC (when Dale Goldhawk is on) then I switch back to AM740. They're the only 2 radio stations worth listening to. I also use the music channels on the cable TV - just music no talking at all.
